Nowadays, most people all over the world are aware that balloons are very useful decorations to make a party or celebration look festive. Most of these are eco-friendly Latex Balloons, which are safe for the environment.
What many do not know is how balloons are made from the basic ingredient of sap coming from rubber trees to the final raw or un-inflated balloon we see in the market today.
Here is a short video that will show you how balloons are produced. Mass production machines are needed for a better output based on the demand of the consumers. In the Philippines, companies that mass produced balloons are found in Laguna, Pampanga and Manila.
In the video below, you can watch the visually stunning way balloons are made. Balloons were once made of dried animal bladders. Now they use colorful latex, which comes from the sap of rubber trees. First, latex is dyed and mixed for 16 hours. Meanwhile, balloon moldings are dipped into a chemical that attracts the latex. Then they are dipped into the latex vat. Spinning brushes roll up the balloon openings. These brushes create the “lip” of the balloon. Then the latex is put in a hot bath, which will make it rubbery. Air jets then inflate the balloon to a few inches. Rollers grab the balloons as they fill with air. Finally, they are washed to make them more durable. Now, you have the balloons!
These balloons are the main items in balloon decoration packages. It is mesmerizing to see how the balloons are made from rubber trees to inflatable materials. You can inflate the balloons using breathable air if you do not want it to fly but flying balloons must use Helium or Hydrogen. Done differently compared to Latex Balloons, Foil Balloons are great for social events too.
Now that you know how the balloons are created, you will surely appreciate the people behind the decorations that made your child’s birthday into a “blast”.
