Delivery of Balloons to Lapulapu City

For the past two months, delivery of Balloons & other party needs to Lapulapu City from Mandaue or Cebu City has become very challenging. This is because of the on-going renovation of the 1st Mandaue-Mactan Bridge. Because of age, the 1st bridge that connected Mainland Cebu and Mactan Island has slowly degraded. There have been visible cracks in the pillars that hold the two-way bridge. Going to Mactan Island is easier if you take the 2nd Bridge or the Marcelo Fernan Bridge going to the Historic City, where the Mactan-Cebu International Airport is located.

Balloon delivery in Lapulapu City has become common nowadays as many people are already residing in the island. Most subdivisions and villages in the city have their own clubhouses and/or function rooms for birthdays and christening celebrations. In fact, some weddings are also held on clubhouses aside from the huge hotels and resorts that surround the island.

Found in the island are some of the most luxurious resorts in the country – Shangrila, Crimson, Hilton to name some. Delivery of balloons and party supplies in Lapu-lapu is easy if you know the shortcuts and the detours in the island. Going there in the morning after the “rush hour” is easy because there is less traffic jam. Going back to Mandaue City is a bit tiring because of the on-going road repairs, especially in Alang-alang St., and the change in traffic management scheme.

For balloon shops that are located in Cebu City or Mandaue City, they can still deliver the balloons on time but they have to make sure that their next delivery is still far. Going back to Mandaue City in the next two months will be a bit difficult because of the recent road “experiments” to, hopefully, ease the traffic in Lapulapu City. Make sure you have at least 3-4 hours before the start of the next event you are serving to have ample to time for the setup and a longer leeway for your travel time.

We hope that in the next few weeks, the Local Government Units will solve the traffic problem in Mandaue and Lapulapu City and the road repairs will be finished. Generally, a huge portion of your time is only wasted if you are near the 1st and 2nd bridges but if you are in the coastal areas, near the resorts, the traffic situation is acceptable.
