Defined as a balloon design in a curved shape in the vertical plane that spans an opening, an Entrance Balloon Arch is a perfect addition to a Balloon Decoration Package, similar to a Balloon Table Centerpiece. Unlike the traditional birthday parties that only uses Stick & Flying Balloons, having a Balloon Entrance Arch will surely make an imposing celebration.
Also known as Rainbow Arch, Crescent Arch and Curve Balloon Design, an Entrance Arch usually comprises of a number of balloons depending on the complexity of the design. The standard solid design is compose of 33 clusters, which is 132pcs of Latex or Metallic Balloons.
A Balloon Arch at the entrance make any party special and that includes Graduation Parties, Corporate Events, Weddings, Christening and many more. Some use a pair of Balloon Pillars as base, then add a dozen of Flying Balloons (fixed in a 3-4 meter string), which will act as the ‘curve’ for the Arch.
Depending on the amount the customer is willing to spend, a Balloon Shop can make a simple design or a much intricate rainbow arch. Most complicated designs uses more balloons and takes a lot of time to create. Larger designs, especially for racing, fun run & other events that require a Balloon Arch at the Starting Line or Finish Line, requires 37 to 45 clusters, which is 148 to 180 balloons respectively. Arches for stage also depends on the area of the platform to make sure the designs in the middle part, such as a Tarpaulin or Styro Backdrop is not covered by the balloons. Smaller designs, such as for cakes or giveaways are known as Table-top Arch or Cake Arch.
For outdoor events, especially if the venue or area is windy, a Balloon Arch Stand is necessary. This will make sure the set of balloons will not fall or deform. For indoor parties, breathable ordinary air is used to inflate the balloons. Inflating it with helium or hydrogen makes sure the Entrance Arch is still standing even if one of the balloons deflates or burst. The Basic Arch for Entrance uses only a couple of balloons that contains water, which acts as weights for the two ends. A cotton thread, string or nylon combines the clusters together to make an Arch. Using the same amount of force when combining the clusters together makes the Balloon Arch design perfect. If at first you cannot make a perfect arch, there is always a second chance. You will know where you went wrong & avoid doing the same mistakes to make sure the curve is just right. Also, make sure that the balloons are inflated to the same size to evenly space all the clusters in the right place.
